Bank Holiday fete at Cedars Village

Diary posted

9th June 2017

A grey day with light rain did not deter 80 residents from joining in with our Bank Holiday fete, held at the village on Monday 29 May.

There was tombola with an array of high quality prizes donated by residents and staff, gazebos and stalls selling refreshments, plus a ‘guess the weight of a Dundee cake’ competition.

There were eight games of skill conceived, organised and manned by residents: ‘Golf in the Bucket’, ‘Trap the Rat’, ‘Horse Shoe throwing’, ‘Velcro Dart Ball Throw’, ‘French Boules’, ‘Skittles’, ‘Crazy Golf’ and ‘Knock the Beer Cans’.

Cedars’ restaurant provided a first class barbecue and we played country music throughout the event.

At 4pm a member of Cedars’ Residents Committee and a few volunteers served free tea and biscuits in the ballroom.

We all had a fun afternoon!

Wally James, resident.
