Spring has arrived

nThe Snowdrops have come and gone but fortunately our flowerbeds are getting brighter with daffodils and hyacinths appearing.  Temperatures are noticeably rising and the sun has been shining brightly on and off, perhaps too brightly at times for ageing eyes.  The big question is – will we have a good summer?

We now have a new activity for residents to enjoy! Every second and fourth Wednesday afternoon we have “Tea and Chat”.  The aim is to get people together, particularly those residents who are now alone.  It is proving to be popular, thanks to the efforts of the organiser, Pam Anderson.

John Kinahan treated us to another afternoon of music from the 30s and 40s from his extensive collection.  It certainly got our feet tapping and the memories came flooding back!  We also had another talk in the political build up to the General Election.  This time it was Rachel Gilmour, the Lib Dem candidate for our constituency, Taunton Deane.
