Blagdon Lodge, Blagdon Village, Retirement Village

Blagdon residents have been soaking up the sun in the unseasonably – yet glorious – warm weather. Some residents have been enjoying the beautiful Somerset views on the patio outside the clubhouse or from the convenience of their own individual gardens.

But whilst the weather is changing – the active social calendar is always here for residents if they want to join in!

Stories from Nepal

A friend of a fellow Blagdon resident, John Watson, gave an interesting and highly amusing talk detailing his upbringing in Nepal alongside his adventures and misdemeanors – assisted by his wife Jean.

Chinese Themed Evening

Blagdon’s excellent cook, David Brigham, was applauded for his efforts at another hugely popular themed evening. This time it was a Chinese theme where retirees enjoyed a glorious Chinese meal with a great selection of dishes.

Musical memories

The latest installment of Musical Memories, where each resident plays CDs of music that either holds memories for them or is on a theme. Group members enjoyed hearing the favourite songs of resident Geoffrey Morton and his wife June!
