Blagdon Village in full Spring bloom

Diary posted

13th April 2016

It may have seen the first day of spring but March did not bring a great awakening in the village, apart from in the grounds where the daffodils and hyacinths were in their impressive full bloom and our superb maintenance workers were busy with grass cutting and spring planting.

On the entertainment front a variety of activities took place as usual but we also had two talks.  One was on the subject of the Middle East and the other was on a subject which is receiving much attention from residents – should we have a defibrillator on site?  Two members of the emergency services gave a very comprehensive talk and demonstration of the use of a defibrillator and its advantages.  We will discuss the topic further and vote on it during our AGM in April.

Although March was fairly quiet April is proving to be much busier so watch this space!
