We are delighted to announce that our service provider, Nicola Potter and minibus driver, Dave Roberts have each just been presented with a Retirement Village Star Award. These awards are given to members of staff who demonstrate excellent working practices and make an outstanding contribution to the wellbeing of residents at the village.
Sylvester Harker, village manager said: “Both Nicola and Dave show outstanding commitment to their work and are a credit to the Retirement Villages Group. They always put the residents needs first. Nothing is too much trouble and they always show great care and attention in everything that they do. They always have time and a cheery word for the residents.”
Nicola, who lives locally in Trowbridge, has worked at the village for the last 21 years in a variety of roles, starting originally as a carer for independent living and has been a care coordinator and Head of Care. In her current role of Administration and Activities Assistant, she supports the Village Manager. She always has the residents at the heart of everything she does and always gives 100%.
Dave is looking forward to his own retirement in the next month, after working at the village for 19 years. During his time at the village he has taken on many duties including general maintenance, driving the village minibus and assisting residents with their shopping. He is looking forward to taking his dogs for more walks and spending time working on his garden.
Thrilled to receive her Star Award, Nicola said: “I really enjoy my role at Retirement Villages and love working for the residents here at Avonpark Village. I’m delighted to have received this award.”
