Fireworks light up the week for our residents

11th November 2014

Last week was an exciting one for us here at Avonpark, with visitors, fireworks and group outings.

On the 1st of November, independent retailer VIVA brought a range of bespoke tops to showcase to our female residents, with a number of them making a purchase. The ladies also took advantage of her alteration services, enjoying their newly fitted garments with a cup of coffee and a natter.

celebrated the 5th of November with a fantastic firework display on the Alex Hall lawn. Our residents enjoyed mulled wine and canapés with our neighbours from the care homes. It was a wonderful event that was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

With bonfire night out of the way, our residents have now begun to think about Christmas, purchasing Christmas gifts from Dicroux Jewellery, who visited us on the 7th.

If that wasn’t enough excitement for one week, Dave our mini bus driver found the time to take some of our residents on day trips to Wells Cathedral and Westonbirt Gardens. Both trips were well received with everyone enjoying the beautiful scenery and architecture.
