New Estates Manager welcomed at Retirement Villages

Sean Corney New Estates Manager

We have appointed a new Estates Manager, Sean Corney, who joins us after working for Savills for nearly six years. At Savills he was responsible for overseeing the management of properties across the UK.

Sean has over twelve years of property related experience, including asset management, investment and strategic advice.

In his new role at Retirement Villages, Sean will help manage our 14 age-exclusive communities. He will ensure that sites continue to be staffed and maintained to our impeccably high standards, and that sites comply with all relevant health and safety regulations. Sean will also respond to maintenance issues or queries.

Sean will also carry out detailed monthly audits of all our retirement villages to identify areas for improvement. These audits examine everything from communal buildings and village grounds to electrical certificates and fire safety assessments.

“I am relishing the challenges of my new position, there is a lot of travelling involved but I enjoy working with and meeting new people,” said Sean. “Having visited each of our Retirement Villages’ I am now gaining a good understanding of how each operates, as well as meeting the residents and staff.”

Sean’s previous experience makes him perfectly suited to his new role of Estates Manager. He joined Retirement Villages because he wanted to challenge himself and believes in our brand, which stands for quality retirement living.

Sean will report to Oscar Russell, our previous Estates Manager who has recently been promoted to Estates Director on the Group board.
