Establishing community links and building relations with local people and businesses has always been an important part of integrating a Retirement Village’s development into a new area.

Charters Village is currently being built on the northern fringes of East Grinstead in West Sussex. Earlier this month, the Village sponsored prizes for the Lingfield Marathon Fun Run, an event which saw over 200 people run, jog and walk a variety of routes around the Surrey town.

Sales Consultant Gill Davies and Development Director David Phillips were both present on the day to cheer on the entrants and talk to visitors and neighbouring stallholders.

Gill said, “It was great to get out in to the community and meet some of the people Charters Village will potentially be getting to know better in the future.

“All of the runners did fantastically well and helped to raise a lot of money for a number of deserving causes.”

Gill presented three trophies to the winners of the Young Boys, Young Girls and Adult Males categories.

Building work for phase one at Charters Village is well underway and the first bungalows and apartments are starting to take shape.

Those interested in buying a property can visit the dedicated Sales and Marketing Suite on site, which is open Tuesday to Saturdays between 10:30am and 5pm.
