MP for Saffron Walden, Kemi Badenoch recently visited Moat Park retirement village in Essex. Kemi met the newly appointed management team, including new village manager Kerri Brill and then chatted to residents, before being taken on a tour of the new ‘Meadow View’ development which compromises nine luxury cottages.
The MP, pictured here (centre right) with the Retirement Villages Group (RVG) team chatted to staff before sitting down with residents to discuss retirement life in this unique setting.
Kemi commented, “This is a really unique offering for retirees and I truly believe the retirement village concept is fantastic. I’m supporting of any scheme of this nature, whereby this is more than just accommodation for retirees in the area, it’s a lifestyle choice that aids future well being too.”
Kerri Brill, Village Manager at Moat Park said afterwards: “The fact Kemi found time in her diary to visit Moat Park reflects her commitment to supporting the senior population and retirement housing here in Essex.
“It’s so refreshing to see someone of Kemi’s political nature being so supportive and really seeing the benefits of the Retirement Village model, I’m looking forward to working closely with Kemi in the future.”
