Charters Village, the private retirement village for the over 65s in East Grinstead, has received a highly commended award for the Best Retirement Scheme at the Housebuilder Awards 2017. The annual Housebuilder Awards recognise the very best new build property projects across the country and are judged by some of the industry’s leading experts.

The village has won numerous national awards since it opened in 2014, scooping the Best Retirement Scheme in the UK in the Housebuilder Awards in 2014 as well as collecting a Silver accolade at the prestigious WhatHouse awards.
Village manager Nigel Walter said: “I’m extremely proud to see Charters Village commended in yet another top industry award. To be recognised in this way is a real testament to the village, the excellence of our staff, our superb build quality and our fantastic residents.”
Charters Village includes beautiful Charters Towers, the fully refurbished Arts and Crafts clubhouse building, at the centre of village life. There is also a brand new registered care home within the grounds. The village off Felcourt Road is currently taking viewings for its newest phase of bespoke retirement apartments, which offer a broad choice of styles and lay-outs in addition to the exclusive resident facilities within the central clubhouse.
