A choir trip to Malta sparked a romance that has reached a happy conclusion at Cedars Village, in Chorleywood.
Towards the end of the holiday, Cedars Village resident Bill Sharpe found himself sitting next to fellow singer Jan Walton at dinner.
As they chatted they discovered Jan lived just a few miles away, and so the pair agreed to attend each other’s next concerts.
Two years later, on their second anniversary, the couple married. And they’ve now bought a home together at Cedars Village, just 200 yards across the green from Bill’s cottage.
“We looked at properties elsewhere but they weren’t quite right for us,” said Jan. “Then number one at Cedars Village came up. It’s a beautiful apartment in the Mansion House with high ceilings and big rooms.”
Bill said: “It’s perfect for us and Jan has already met many of the neighbours.”
