Pete Davis is part of the Grounds and Maintenance team at Lime Tree. He’s been working with us for the last three years and if you need any help around the community, Peter and the team will be more than happy to help.

“I can genuinely say that I love my job here at Lime Tree.

No two days are the same; one day we might be digging a well at the allotment, another day we might be doing our own landscaping on the new development. Our roles cover everything from general maintenance around the community to projects raised by the residents who live here and we’re always happy to turn our hand to something new to help Lime Tree grow and thrive.

With 32 acres of land here, there’s loads of woodlands, flora and fauna, wildlife and we’ve even created our own ‘submarine’ of wildflowers.

My favourite part of the job is getting involved in the attraction of wildlife around Lime Tree. I’ve been setting up jungle cams along the nature trails and we recently caught some bats on the camera. Aswell as bats, there’s also green woodpeckers, fire crest and a grass snake couple who have lived here together for years. There’s even a fox that comes to the bus stop each night to be fed by one of the residents!

The woodland within Lime Tree dates back 300-400 years and the maze of walkways have been there for about 20 years too. One path takes you directly into the nearby town, there are four woodland walks which are favoured by dog owners and there’s a walk along the other side of the community past the stream and the allotments. It’s a beautiful place to explore and living at Lime Tree will keep you fit!

We try to do our bit for sustainability in the community, such as harvesting rainwater, saving saplings from around the gardens within a ‘tree nursery’ so we can use them when developing new areas and we even used our own composted soil to created more raised vegetable beds for the Allotment Association.

Going back 40 years my wife had a flower shop and I used to deliver flowers here – it’s been amazing to see the grounds grow and change.”

Are you a fan of nature? Come along and explore this gorgeous community for yourself.

Set within 26 acres of stunning grounds, our residents have the best of both worlds. The local neighbourhood of Bilton is just a short walk away along the private walkway from the village and for your wider needs Rugby town centre is just a short drive away.

Right here within the grounds, though, is a large and well-established community where you can while away your time with the many facilities and activities at your fingertips.
