Our latest proposed development is a new retirement village in the sought-after Virginia Water in Surrey. We are holding a public exhibition in the town on 08 February to unveil our plans and inviting the public to contribute their views.
Subject to planning permission, this exciting age-exclusive community will feature up to 130 two-bedroom cottages and apartments, a 50-bed care home and a range of communal facilities contained in a village clubhouse. These will include:
· Function room
· Lounge with library recess and bar
· Dining room
· Exercise room with changing facilities
· Meeting room
· Treatment room
· Shop / kiosk
· Domiciliary care office
· Administration office
· Back of house facilities such as a full commercial kitchen, village laundry and staff room
The proposal occupies a 10-acre site on the Southern edge of Stroude to the east of Virginia Water, accessed via Stroude Road. The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) is promoting the site for specialist retirement development.
“This represents a further exciting addition to our current development programme,” explained Jami Puckering, Land and Planning Director for Retirement Villages Group (RVG).
“A key characteristic of our villages is their prime locality. Virginia Water is no exception. This is an outstanding area of the UK where we have identified a need for private retirement properties and a high quality care offering.”
Following the public exhibition we will look to submit an outline application to Runnymede Borough Council.
