We have development plans for Moat Park and the local authority has approved our planning application (a copy of which will be placed in the library of Moat Park for residents’ perusal):
1. Extension and improvement to the existing clubhouse:
We are expanding the existing facilities in the clubhouse with an extension of 35 square metres to the function room. This is a 30% increase and will be built over the existing terrace, with a new larger terrace provided. We will engage with residents on best use of the space, its décor and flexibility.
The extension will utilise a recess that currently exists and will constitute an infill extension. Minor internal alterations will be made and the external materials will be clockwork walls with a render finish, to match the existing clubhouse elevations.
2. Nine additional ‘extra care’ dormer bungalows:
The nine dormer bungalows will include:
Two bedrooms (one en-suite)
Open plan living / dining area with French doors
Downstairs shower room with WC
They will be designed to meet Part M of the building regulations and will therefore meet the requirements of a lifetime home, future proofing it for further care needs.
Each unit will have a designated parking space and visitors’ parking will also be provided.
The red line represents the working area for construction of the bungalows. Disruption will be kept to a minimum.
3. Separate planning application submitted for improvements to signage and lighting at village entrances
The existing Residents’ Committee has highlighted an issue with the current signage and lighting to the entrances of Moat Park. A separate signage with lighting application will be submitted.
The improvements will ensure that signage and lighting is in keeping with the surroundings and will not disturb the local wildlife or intrude on local character and amenity.
Once the planning application is submitted, a copy will be available in the library for residents of Moat Park.
