Avonpark Village

Avonpark Village is a village in every sense: the buildings represent a blend of architectural styles, there’s a village green, a woodland area for exploring, a gym, restaurant, bar, a bus stop at the end of the lane and a busy social calendar. Like many rural communities, the 15 acre village is bordered by fields and footpaths popular with walkers with views of hills and valleys creating a stunning backdrop.

Alongside all that, Avonpark Village offers the very broadest range of living options for the over 60s, from entirely independent houses and apartments right through to specialist nursing care. 

Established for more than a decade, Avonpark Village, which sits just six miles from Bath, has had new life breathed into it since it was brought into the Retirement Villages fold in November 2010. The refurbishing and remodelling work has created the very best environment where every level of care and support can be provided in comfortable and safe surroundings.

The extensive facilities are what help create the community of Avonpark Village. Within the main clubhouse there is a lounge, conservatory and bar where residents can meet, entertain guests, enjoy a coffee or choose a spot of lunch from the bistro menu, made to order in the village’s dedicated kitchen. The library area has a range of books to browse while the traditional study area is brought up to date with the addition of a computer offering internet access. There’s the chance to be pampered in the hair salon and treatment room while the convenience shop is handy for picking up essentials. 

The extensive grounds provide shady wooded areas, colourful patio displays, evergreen borders and manicured lawns, criss-crossed by a network of paths featuring thoughtfully placed seating areas, making the most of the amazing views across the rolling countryside.
