Roseland Parc shortlisted for national award

Roseland Parc Retirement Village has been shortlisted for a national award which recognises the specialists who create care schemes, homes and hospitals.

The village, in Tregony, near Truro, has been named among the top three in the country in the Extra Care/Assisted Living/Care Villages category of The Healthcare Design Awards, sponsored by Pinders.

To mark the achievement the village was presented with a cheque for £500 during the judges’ visit - which the village is donating to the locally-based John Banfield Charity which buys Christmas gifts for orphans and the elderly.

“We are delighted to have reached the shortlist for such a prestigious award,” said Paul Walsh, care director for Roseland Parc owner Retirement Villages. “It is testament to the hard work of all those involved in pulling this development together.”

The winner of the award will be announced at a gala presentation at Lords cricket ground in April.

The awards seek to acknowledge the contribution made by the designers, architects and owners of care homes, hospitals and other care schemes to the well-being and quality of life of those in their care.
