Residents are set to gather for some flippin’ pancake fun at Lime Tree Village, the area’s only village exclusively for over 55s.
To prove it’s not only the children who enjoy Easter traditions, the Lime Tree Village Residents’ Association is celebrating Shrove Tuesday with it’s second annual pancake race.
With frying pans in hands and pancakes flying, the men and women will race in relays down the short course outside the village’s centre piece Cawston House at Lime Tree Village, Dunchurch, near Rugby.
And there’ll be prizes handed out to the first to cross the finishing line.
Residents’ Association chairman Pam Osborne said: “We don’t like to think of the youngsters having all the fun on Shrove Tuesday.
“One of the residents is cooking the pancakes and we’ve all got our trainers ready so it could be quite a race.”
