Laughing at Life at Castle Village

COMIC writer Vince Powell is the guest of honour at a special lunch at Castle Village, Berkhamsted.

Vince is the brains – and humour – behind such television classics as Love Thy Neighbour, Here’s Harry and Give Us A Clue as well as writing for radio, theatre and the big screen.

He’ll be sharing anecdotes from his 40 years in the business with residents of Castle Village on May 27 in a talk called ‘Laughing at Life’.

“We are delighted to be welcoming Vince to Castle Village,” said resident Eric Parry, a production director at Thames TV where Vince did a lot of his work. “He has worked with some of the television greats and I’m sure he will have some fantastic tales to share.”

Residents pay a nominal fee for lunch and the talk with proceeds being given to the Residents’ Association.
