Cedars Village, the area’s dedicated village for the over 60s, is staging a special evening of entertainment to mark the 25th anniversary of developers Retirement Villages Ltd.
While the first residents moved into the village in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire 12 years ago, its owner is celebrating a quarter of a century in operation.
A series of special events has been staged at the company’s villages over recent months to mark the special occasion.
And, on Tuesday, July 10, it will be the turn of Cedars’ residents, staff and local VIPs to join the party, alongside Retirement Villages directors.
A drinks reception in a marquee on the village’s beautifully manicured front lawn will be followed by a concert featuring songs from the shows and popular classics performed by a 40-strong group of singers from Chorleywood Choral Society. A giant anniversary cake will be cut, followed by speeches.
“We are delighted to be sharing the celebration of 25 years of Retirement Villages with the staff and residents at Cedars Village,” said the company’s sales and marketing director Sarah Burgess. “It should be a lovely evening and one which will be remembered for years to come.”
