Home owners concerned about the extra cost of providing a Home Information Pack (HIP) for sellers are being offered a helping hand when they buy at the area’s only village exclusively for the over 55s.
It is now a legal requirement for people selling properties with four or more bedrooms to provide sellers with a HIP at an estimated cost of between £300 and £400.
People downsizing and snapping up one of the last remaining properties at Lime Tree Village, in Dunchurch, near Rugby can have that bill paid for them, as long as they use the village’s nominated estate agents Sequence, locally trading as Shipways.
“We want to make people’s move to Lime Tree Village as easy as possible and this is another way we can ease the burden at what can be a stressful time,” said property sales and marketing director Sarah Burgess.
The village, set in beautifully landscaped grounds and boasting an Edwardian mansion featuring communal areas, bar and restaurant as the centrepiece, has two bedroom apartments and the very last remaining cottages and bungalows available with prices from £172,000 to £375,000.
