There was a special celebration at Elmbridge Village for long-serving neighbours Ken Waldron, Jack Cook and Eileen Burbidge who moved in 25 years ago.
Mr Waldron, Mr Cook and Mrs Burbidge were among the first residents of the village, exclusively for the over 60s, on the edge of Cranleigh, Surrey.
And their anniversary was marked with a special presentation by Village Manager Sue Gibson, on behalf of owners Retirement Villages.
“We were delighted to present our silver anniversary residents with flowers and champagne to celebrate their 25 years living in the village,” said Sue. “It’s testament to everyone here that we have a community people want to continue being part of for so long.”
