CASE STUDY 4

Having spent 50 years of her colourful life in Australia, Artist, Jayne Campbell
has returned home and found the perfect place in which to retire on the Roseland Peninsula.

Jayne – 85 years young – is settling into a new life at Roseland Parc retirement village in Tregony, having left a four-bedroom house at Mawnan Smith.

“There are lots of places like this in Australia and when I saw it advertised I just knew it was right for me,” said Jayne.  “And feel I have made the right decision.”

Her daughter and son-in-law live in Carbis Bay but Jayne wanted to be close enough to see them regularly but still have independence which she has, living in a  two bedroom apartment.

“I am making friends and just love the social networks here.  We regularly meet in the restaurant for lunch and the food is excellent,” she added.  “In fact I’ve just come back from congratulating the chef on a superb meal.”

“I was rattling around in my previous home and it is great to be relieved of maintenance and gardening chores,” added Jayne.

“The management and staff at Roseland Parc are wonderful – they do everything they can to help us. The facilities are good and getting better as we settle in.”

They include restaurant, bar, library, hair salon, treatment room, swimming pool, hot tub, gymnasium, palm garden with terrace and concierge services include a transport service.

Although Jayne still drives – she doesn’t go shopping as much as she used to.  “With a restaurant so good, the necessity is not there”

“I have always been one for living in the moment and my decision to buy here was one of those.
