Nursing Care

    • Home Page: Banner 3

Our nursing homes are staffed by hand picked teams of nurses, carers and support workers who are able to provide 24 hour individual nursing care.

Experienced managers oversee our homes and work closely with outside professionals to ensure the requirement of every resident is met.

Our nursing homes are fitted out to a high standard ensuring the comfort of residents and also giving staff the optimum conditions to provide the best care.

En suite rooms are provided furnished but can be personalised with small items to help foster familiarity. Residents can choose to invite guests to their rooms where they can also enjoy their meals if preferred. Equally, communal facilities, including lounges, dining rooms and outdoor areas are ideal for residents to entertain, socialise and join in organised activities.

Wide corridors and doorways, lift access to all floors and carefully placed furniture means all areas are accessible to residents with limited mobility or requiring the use of a wheelchair.

Staff aim to provide residents with an informal and stimulating environment in which to live. We recognise that every individual has different requirements. Before admission, potential residents are assessed by a senior member of staff to ensure their chosen home can meet their needs. Following this consultation, a care plan is put together in conjunction with the resident, their relatives where appropriate, and staff. The confidentiality of resident’s personal information is paramount and their privacy and personal choices are critically important to all staff.

Our nursing home staff ensure close liaison with GPs and other professionals over the daily needs of each resident. The social, spiritual and cultural wellbeing of residents is also taken into careful consideration with staff encouraged to support residents with specific beliefs.

As in all our care homes, a team of support staff provides domestic services including cleaning and personal laundry. Nutritionally balanced meals are cooked by on site catering teams, headed by qualified chefs. Individual dietary requirements are always taken into consideration. Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and night.

Our core values are based around the following objectives:

    * to respect clients’ privacy

    * to offer dignity and respect

    * to ensure security and safety

    * to honour confidentiality

    * to preserve civil rights

    * to ensure personal choice

    * to help make clients’ lives fulfilling

All of our homes are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Respite care

It may be you or a loved one needs extra support or care on a temporary basis. Our care homes are able to provide respite care, dependent on space.

This service may be useful during a period of convalescence following illness or stay in hospital or maybe while primary carers take a holiday or enforced leave.

Respite care at one of our homes provides a safe and secure alternative to care in the family home.

Holiday respite stays are also available at some locations. This could be a short break or longer fortnight or even monthly stay. Single or double occupancy is available and people can choose to stay alone or bring a friend or loved one.
