Care Services
There are two types of care at Thamesfield:
Close care
Thamesfield offers a complete range of close care facilities, when required. By paying a monthly service charge, you no longer have to worry about insuring or maintaining your home, paying for heating and lighting costs, laundry and even cooking.
In the event of an emergency a 24-hour call facility will bring immediate aid. Other help, from assistance with shopping and cleaning to professional care, can be called upon as needed.
How this works
Once you have purchased your close care apartment there are two additional charges per month – the Service Charge and the Standard Care Charge.
Standard Care Charge
There is a standard charge which covers a range of care services including:
- Weekly visit by care manager
- Weekly visit by our house keeper
- Trained emergency assistance on call 24 hours a day
- Daily visit by NVQ qualified Care Assistant (if required)
- Refreshment service in the Orangery, Conservatory or sitting room
- Programme of social activities
- Use of the hairdressing salon at cost
Personal Care Plan
Further comprehensive care is available at a level to suit the needs and requirements of individuals. Tailor made care plans are drawn up in full consultation with the resident, any relevant health professionals and the family if necessary.
