Roseland Parc welcomes national competition winners
Roseland Parc retirement village played host to winners of a national competition to win a Cornish holiday.
Eileen and John Bailey scooped the first prize of a three night stay at New Lodge, a National Trust property in Trelissick Gardens in Cornwall in the competition organised by Retirement Villages, owner of Roseland Parc in Tregony, near Truro.
During their Cornish break Mr and Mrs Bailey, who live in Ottery St Mary in Devon, were chauffeured to Roseland Parc for lunch, hosted by Village Manager Derek Pashley. The following day the couple were taken on a guided tour of Trelissick by a member of the garden team.
“We enjoyed a lovely visit to Roseland Parc where we saw the excellent facilities and activities available for the residents – and in such a wonderful part of Cornwall,” said Mrs Bailey.
The competition was staged throughout 2008 at events attended by Retirement Villages with entrants being asked a question about the Cornish peninsula which Roseland Parc sits on. Mr and Mrs Bailey’s entry was the first correct answer drawn after the closing date.
