Roseland Parc - In the Swim

Roseland Parc retirement village in Truro, Cornwall
Residents, staff and neighbours at Roseland Parc Retirement Village are in training for a marathon 10 hour sponsored swim. More than 20 people are expected to take part in the charity swimathon on Bank Holiday Monday – May 25 – swimming for half hour stints.
Local vicar Rev Sian Yates has been instrumental in organising the event, along with resident of the Retirement Village, set in the heart of Tregony, near Truro, Elizabeth Sharratt. The sponsored swim, in the pool at Roseland Parc’s fitness suite, is set to start at 9am and finish at 7pm. The village is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for the local Mount Edgcumbe Hospice and Tregony Parish Church summer holiday children’s events.
“Several of our residents and staff are training to take part and we’re looking forward to welcoming some of our neighbours and friends from Tregony and the local church,” said Village Manager Derek Pashley. “It’s the first time we’ve held an event like this and we’re very much looking forward to it.”
